Things To Do While Camping In Door County
Come and discover Door County. Experience for yourself why Money Magazine named Door County one of the Top Ten vacation destinations in North America. There are many activities in the Door County area, as well as at Egg Harbor Campground and RV Resort.
Some of the activites we have at the campground are for young and old alike.
Children’s Activities: We have a large playground area, swimming pool, game room, TV-reading room. Our playground area has a basketball hoop, and a soccer field. We have coloring books, arts and crafts, children’s books and board games. We also have scavenger hunts, children’s videos and many more fun activities planned throughout the season.
Adult Activities: Volleyball, Horseshoe’s, swimming pool, the Orchard Golf course is adjacent to the campground-with golf packages offered (purchased through the camp store).
Family Activities: Pot Luck dinners, Chili Challenge (Labor Day weekend), swimming pool and picnic area.
2008-SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
The annual Door County Lighthouse Walk, held the 3rd weekend in May, (16th-18th) offers visitors the opportunity to climb to the top of the Cana Island Lighthouse tower, some 80 feet above the water level.
May 23-26 Memorial Day Weekend
May 30th & 31st- ”Relaxed Quiet Hours”- All other policies apply.
July 3rd- Egg Harbor Fireworks- begins at dusk
July 4th- Egg Harbor Parade- begins at 1:00 p.m.
Bailey’s Harbor Fireworks- begins at dusk
July 5th- Fish Creek Fireworks- begins at dusk
August 29th - September 1st Labor Day Weekend-Chili challenge on Sunday at the campground pavilion
September 5th & 6th- Island Party Weekend- “Relaxed Quiet Hours”. DJ on Friday September 5th. The Mango Brothers (Jimmy Buffett tribute band 8:00 - Midnight) will be appearing on September 6th - Saturday- brat fry, corn roast (all proceeds going to the Egg Harbor Fire Department). Friday and Saturday -tiki bar, beer tent. ”Relaxed Quiet Hours”, all other policies apply. Harley Riders Welcome!!
October 11 - 12 Egg Harbor Pumpkin Patch Festival (1/2 Mile away)
October 11th - DJ at the campground pavilion from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. - following the Pumpkin Patch festivities.
October 18 - 19 Fall Fest in Sister Bay
We close for the winter on October 19th.
Offsite activities: Beaches nearby, several golf courses nearby, winery tours, art galleries, lighthouses, shops, fish boils, too many restaurants to list. Festivals, fishing tournaments, Fourth of July Celebrations, Pumpkin Patch Weekend and Fall Fest. There are also several other activities going on in Door County throughout the season-You surely won’t want to miss out!!
